Sharing what you know with your lover can give him the power he needs to win, especially when he’s fighting a rogue wolf.

Mark Delonco was betrayed, ostracized, rejected, beaten and left for dead by a pack brother. As he wanders the forest, an unfamiliar scent brings him to a gruesome scene—and his betrayer. Another confrontation brings not only victory for the moment but also the possibility for love and redemption.

Victor Bradley could never maintain a relationship with anyone and he didn’t know why. It wasn’t that something was wrong with the men he chose, it was just that no one ever felt right to him. While visiting his forest home, a stranger appears at the door and changes his life. How can he know a man he has never met?

This was a cute story that implored everything you could want from a paranormal story. You have werewolf sprites, the magic of the forest, and of course with heartache blooms love..

As an infant Victor unknowingly witnessed the brutal slaughter of his parents by a power hunger werewolf. Luckily the destroyer didn’t think his brother would stop him from finishing the job, but Victors destiny was much greater. When Mark held the infant to protect him his whole world changed. In his arms the bundle he saved was his fated mate. Forced to leave half his soul with a tree sprite for protection Mark promised to always stay close and when the time came he would claim his soul, before leaving his soul mate to grow into a man he left his claim for all the supernatural world to know. But first he had to go and face his pack and the betrayal he was forced to witness, knowing when it was over he would be alone.

Victor grew up a happy, successful man who was truly loved by the sprite who adopted him. She never hid her true identity from him, but she did keep many secrets. Throughout Victors life he went on dates but could never connect with that one special man and he was ok with it, he didn’t truly live a normal life. As he grew into adulthood he moved away from his cabin in the forest but his sprite was always in his thoughts. After hearing a distressed and tired request he returned to the cabin where it all began. It was his sprites time to return herself to the trees she so loved, but before she left she gifted him the protection of the forest should he ever need it. Unfortunately her time ended before she could completely tell Victory about the wolf he used to play with as a child.

Grieving for the only parent he’d known, imagine his shock when a gorgeous naked man arrived at his door claiming Victor was his. Suddenly Victors world was turned upside down again as Mark explained all his precious sprite didn’t have the chance to. Finally Victor understood so much and after a fright the pull to Mark so great he accepted his destiny. No they didn’t get their happy ever after yet because the wolf who killed Victors parents wanted to finish the job forcing Mark to thrust Victor into his world that he had been exiled from.

Ahhh… it’s that time now where I leave you because what good is a fairytale if you know the ending.

My thoughts-reviews

3.75 * – I liked it – This faced paced story really was able to hit all parts to make a story a true fairy tale. You had a villain, a fairy godmother, a knight in shining armor, and a simple man.Jaxx weaved a story of honor, truth and redemption and of course the outcome of true love and reaching ones true destiney. I was impressed by his usage of the different paranormal species and how they worked together to bring about the redemption of Marks unjust disgrace. He also allowed for the love even though it happened in fast forward to become amazing. The way Jaxx used the bond to allow Victor to relive what he needed to know was brilliant. He also was successful in creating scenes that would steam up a window. I will definitely read another one of Jax Steele’s books.
