As the wolf senior enforcer, Torin Fisher’s job is to protect the pack and each of its members. That includes the beautiful submissive wolf, Cora Rivers. He’s known for a while she belongs to him, but he decided to wait for her to come to him willingly. Since her brother’s death, he’s watched her withdraw from the Pack little by little. Tired of sitting by watching her suffocate her wolf, he decides the time has come to claim her.

Cora Rivers is no stranger to pain. Just as she comes out of her mourning over her parents’ brutal murder, her brother—and best friend—suffers the same horrifying death. Grief cripples her and in attempt to learn to be independent, she inadvertently stifles her wolf by not letting her out to play on a regular basis. When Torin Fisher, begins the mating dance, her only choice is to run.

Together they have a chance to not only release her wolf, but find the connection and future they both deserve.

The book by itself was great. Lia’s descriptions make you feel Cora’s pain and fears. So many horrifying thing have happened to her that she keeps bottled up inside including one major one…. her wolf is dying. Between the two they have witness so much pain that neither are sure they want to remain on this earth alone. With Cora’s fears she is sure she doesn’t have a mate. Until she meets Torin.

Torin is one of her packs enforcers. The moment Cora walks in he knows she’s his mate. He senses her fears of him and tries to stay away at first, but the mating pull wont allow it. So Torin does his best to try and relieve Cora of her fears and show her he can be exactly what she needs. He also becomes her support system when her secret about her wolf comes to light.

It takes a bit but finally Cora is able to swallow her fears and let Torin in, which ends up being the best choice she has ever made. (You know I wont spoil the book so that’s all your getting )

Overall Impression

4*/2*–  Ok don’t be mad. I reserve the right to change this once I read the rest of the series, which is why they’re two rankings. I never give out spoilers so i’ll explain my ranking. First this book definitely deserves a 4*. It is a great book filled with many emotions you get to experience along with the characters.  It also makes me kick myself for not reading the previos books. That brings me to the two stars. I definitely feel to get the full experience you need to read the other books in the series first to completely understand what has previously happened. With that being said. This book in itself was amazingly written and I loved it and has me panting to go read the rest of the series.
